Disability Support Pension (DSP) Clinic

Please note as at July 2024 we cannot accept DSP support referrals due to demand overload. We will update this message when we can resume accepting referrals.

The Mental Health Legal Centre has a clinic to assist consumers with applications for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

The DSP Clinic can help consumers to understand and apply for the DSP by:

  • Advising on the eligibility requirements for the DSP;
  • Helping to fill in application forms and lodge them with Centrelink;
  • Supporting consumers to obtain medical and other evidence;
  • Applying for reviews of DSP rejections with a Centrelink Authorised Review Officer (ARO) in some circumstances; and
  • Appealing DSP rejections to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) in some circumstances.

Referrals can be made by emailing ndis.dsp@mhlc.org.au or by calling us on (03) 9629 4422. Consumers can also contact us directly to get help with the DSP.
